Yes, VPNs are legal in most countries, including the US, UK, EU, Canada, and Australia. A few countries (like China, Russia, and Iran) restrict or ban unapproved VPN use, so check local law before traveling. Using a VPN for illegal activity remains illegal everywhere.

Do free VPNs work?
